  • The Wimshurst machine drives a pinwheel to very high speed.
  • Pinwheel can be connected to either electrode.
  • Stand in front of the Wimshurst and turn crank with left hand in direction indicated by arrow.











        (test Wimshurst before class)
        (store Wimshurst in plastic bag on bottom shelf)


  • This demo can also be done with a VDG.















        (plug into dedicated outlet to avoid tripping circuit breaker)
        (keep VDG away from smart podium, computers and microphones)
