  • A narrow beam of light from a slide projector is dispersed by a prism into a rainbow.
  • Can be displayed on a white board or screen, room lights must be dimmed.





(Point projector toward front wall)
(Position rear face of prism in front of projector lens)
(Can spread rainbow out by increasing the angle to the screen)
(Focus the image)

  • Spectrum produced by above setup.

  • Use filters to alter spectrum.

  • Illuminate objects with the same or opposite color.
