5N10.69  NEAR FIELD VS. WAVE FIELD

  • A coil connected to a RF generator, and another connected to an oscilloscope are on separate carts.
  • At low frequency, the only signal that can be detected is the near field (inductive) signal when the coils are close together.  The wave field signal cannot be detected in the room.
  • At high frequency as the carts are moved apart, the near field signal fades but the wave field signal remains fairly constant.
(use 80 MHz generator and 100 MHz scope)
