  • Version 1.
  • With boiling water and ice water reservoirs, this nitinol engine runs so fast, water is thrown out to the side.
  • Direction of rotation depends on orientation of hot and cold reservoirs.
  • The engine may need a little help getting started.

  • Version 2.
  • Place the bottom edge of the brass pulley into 50° - 70° water, do not immerse the bearing.
  • The engine can be made to rotate in either direction depending on which way you push the plastic pulley.
