C is the correct choice. Since the initial velocity of the block is pointing up, and the acceleration of the block is to the right, the block is initially heading up (so a and b cannot be correct), and the horizontal component will begin to increase. As time goes by the horizontal component of the velocity will grow larger and larger, while the vertical component will remain at its initial value (so d cannot be correct).
