Title:
The Physics behind Noninvasive Imaging of the Living Human Brain
Abstract:
Modern medical imaging has opened a window that allows us to study
electric and metabolic activity of the living human brain noninvasively.
The most important of these methodologies are electroencephalography
(EEG), magnetoencephalography (MEG) and various types of magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI). We show how these powerful methods can be used to
obtain a deeper understanding of brain structure and functions but also
discuss their limits.
