Title:
"Mars 3D!, From the Space Public Outreach Team"
Abstract:
The Space Public Outreach Team (SPOT) is a Montana Space Grant
Consortium program sponsored by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory and
MSU's Space Science and Engineering Lab. SPOT is an education and public
outreach program designed to enhance education by providing *free*
presentations to K-12 students across Montana. For more than 8 years,
the presentations have been based on current NASA missions. This fall,
SPOT is bringing 2 programs to schools: "The Cassini-Huygens Mission to
Saturn and Titan", and "Mars 3D!". In this colloquium, SPOT will present
"Mars 3D!", given by one of our undergraduate presenters, Eric
Gustafson. The presentation consists of a 45 minute slide show with
movies and 3D pictures on the exploration of the red planet. Join us
Friday to learn one of the exciting ways MSU is bringing up-to-date NASA
results to Montana's schoolchildren.
