Title:
"High Dose-Rate Pulsed Electron Beams: Accelerator and Radiation Biology
Research At Idaho State University "
Abstract:
The Idaho Accelerator Center (IAC) in Pocatello, Idaho, USA, has grown
rapidly in the past four years and now houses about 11 operating
electron and ion beam accelerators. This talk begins with a brief
summary of the ISUPhysics Department and then includes 1) an overview of
ISU’s new high-intensity, pulsed, high dose rate electron-beam
accelerator (named ISIS), 2) recent high dose-rate dosimetry research,
and 3) a brief summary of a radiation biology project involving pulsed
electron-beam irradiation.
