Workshop Held in Honour of Dick Canfield and His Contributions to Solar Physics
Many of you may not be aware of the tremendous respect that the Solar Physics Community holds for Dick Canfield and his career in solar physics. To help join in that acknowledgement, I want to point out that a workshop honoring Dick Canfield and his contributions was held August 9-11, 2010, at the Center Green campus of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. The proceedings of that workshop have just been published in Vol 277 of Solar Physics (2012). The preface to the journal points out that "Dick Canfield touched the lives and careers of many of today's active members of the solar physics community, through his role as colleague, teacher, mentor, and as advisor of undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows."
