RBS Chamber for Materials Analysis
This diffusion-pumped chamber (foreground) was added for routine RBS analysis.
A differentially pumped beam line provides a 1 mm diameter beam to the target in a vacuum of 10 nTorr.
Undergraduate students are currently studying hydrogen absorption in thin metal films deposited in
situ.
