  • A high voltage electrode at the center of the globe ionizes the gas inside, creating conducting paths to the glass sphere.
  • CAUTION: it is possible to receive an electrical shock when touching the sphere. Minimize the chance of a painful shock by maximizing the surface area of your contact.
