6A20.10  BLACKBOARD OPTICS - CONCAVE/CONVEX MIRRORS




  • A concave, spherical mirror can be used to show the focusing of rays, or spherical aberration.
  • Apparatus clings to magnetic whiteboards.  Do not slide magnets across board.












        (lift support bracket by one end at a time, do not slide)
        (if needed, use a clamp to hold whiteboard up)



  • View seen by students with room lights off.



  • A convex mirror can be used to show the location of the virtual image.
