5J20.10  RL TIME CONSTANT



  • The square wave input to a RL circuit is compared to the voltage across the coil.
  • An iron core can be inserted in the coil to show its effect on the time constant.
  • The oscilloscope display can be projected to the class using the VGA output.




         (use Cenco 79750 coil with 1000 ohm resistor and 500 Hz square wave)
