  • A dummy chunk of metal falls through a copper tube quickly, but a NIB magnet takes 11 seconds to fall the same distance.
  • Make sure magnet (very brittle) lands in padded box.
  • Copper tube weighs ~8 kg.
  • CAUTION: keep magnet at least 30 cm away from ALL other ferromagnetic materials.
