  • Hold thermostat so bimetallic strip is 15 cm above flame, contacts open in a few seconds.
  • Can adjust temperature setting so it opens by breathing on it.
  • Put used matches on bottom of candleholder.

  • An arm from a temperature logger traces out an arc as it is warmed by a heat gun.
