Introduction to Theoretical Physics

Course Description: Mathematical methods essential to the practice of theoretical physics, such as matrices, vector calculus, differential equations, and Fourier series, with applications to examples from mechanics and electromagnetism. (3 credits.)

Prerequisite: Calculus of Functions of Several Variables (Math 224).
Corequisites: Introduction to Differential Equations (Math 225), General and Modern Physics III (Phys 213).
